Order Terms & Conditions

ORDER T&CS

We prepare all of our food by hand, in our kitchens. Please be aware that all food may contain traces of allergens. 

We do our best to ensure that our seasonal menu is prepared for you exactly as ordered, but sometimes we may need to offer a substitution. We will do our best to let you know with a phone call or a note in your order. 

We deliver within a one-hour time slot; your order will arrive within one hour.  

We will attempt delivery of your order only once. If no one is available to receive it, the order will be taken back to our bakery. You can still collect the food at the bakery, before closing time. If the food has been out for a long period of time, some items may no longer be safe for consumption. In such instances, we cannot provide a refund. Any uncollected orders will be donated to our charity partner at the end of day. 

If you wish to add special instructions for our bakery or couriers, you can do so up until 11am 2 working days before by contacting us here or calling us on 020 8138 8708. Our working days are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. If you need help with your order during a weekend or bank holiday, please contact the bakery team directly. Order Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY 

We understand that you may need to cancel your order and we are happy to do so with no charge by 11am two days before your delivery date.  

We use fresh ingredients that will be ordered specifically to prepare your food. For this reason, and to prevent waste, we are not able to refund orders cancelled after this time or same-day orders. 

To cancel your order: 

Log in to your customer account at gails.com. Select your order and click ‘cancel’. You won’t be able to cancel the order after the cut-off time.

To Redeem in our Bakeries 

Hand the team your gift card when ordering at the till. 

For e-vouchers, show the team the voucher on your phone or device, print it out, or simply note down the code. 

To Redeem Online 

Add items to your cart online at order.gailsbread.co.uk then enter your code into the gift card box when checking out.

Terms & Conditions 

To be redeemed in any GAIL’s bakery or online on our website at gails.com. 

Valid for two years from the date of purchase. 

We cannot replace lost or damaged cards without the card number so keep the plastic gift card safe and note down the number. 

The card cannot be exchanged for cash. No change or cash refunds will be given, but any balance remaining on the card may be applied to future purchases, as long as the card has not expired. 

Only cards purchased online can use the Card Balance function on the website.

GAIL's Customer Survey Prize Draw 

  • Once you have opted-in to enter GAIL’s customer survey prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
  • To enter the prize draw, entrants must have completed the customer survey in full and consented to GAIL’s processing of their data in accordance with GAIL’s Privacy Policy. See full privacy policy here: https://gails.com/pages/privacy-policy. Incomplete entries will not be accepted.  
  • The draw occurs once every calendar month. Each entry will only be entered into one prize draw per calendar month. 
  • The winner will be randomly selected and notified during the first seven working days of the following calendar month, via email. GAIL’s will attempt to contact the winner twice. If the prize is not claimed, a new winner will be selected. 
  • The gift cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, no replaceable and non-exchangeable for cash. The gift card will be valid for two years from the date the winner is notified. GAIL’s gift card Terms and Conditions apply. 
  • GAIL’s reserves the right to discount any inappropriate or offensive entries and to disqualify any entries if we reasonably believe that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the prize draw. 
  • In the event of unforeseen and exceptional circumstances or exceptional circumstances outside our reasonable control, we reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this promotion.

The Competition

Winner selection

Exclusion of liability

General

  • If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Company may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
  • The Company is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Data Protection Act and apart from fulfilment of the prize for the winner will not pass on your details to any third party without your prior consent. GAIL's Christmas Card Competition

  • GAIL’s Bakery is inviting customers and bakery team members to design a Christmas card that captures “what it means to be a bakery over the holidays.”
  • To enter, send your design to marketing@gailsbread.co.uk by Saturday 16th November 2025.
  • Only one entry per person will be accepted. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
  • Open to UK residents aged 18 and over. Entrants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to take part.

New Bakery Opening Competition

  • This competition closes on Friday 8th July 2022 at 6pm. 
  • The winner will be chosen at random from all the entries received. 
  • Once the winner is announced the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
