This Christmas, we’re honouring the simple joy of a particular kind of giving – the type that feels like being known. The kind of giving that sees someone’s face light up because you remembered.
So, to usher in the season and introduce our festive menu, we transformed our new bakery in Marylebone into a Christmas Gift Room. We opened our doors to friends of GAIL’s, including our most devoted customers and members of the local community.
Towers of gifts, boxed up with red ribbon, glowed among candlelight and soft branches of fir. Alongside stacks of mince pies, panettoni and Christmas buns, our handwoven hamper baskets overflowed with baked treats. Up above, spiced cookies appeared to dance in the air, suspended among strings of golden lights.
As they reconnected with friends, guests were served platters of freshly baked mince pies and fruit-laden tarts. Meanwhile, our gifting stewards packed a special hamper for each guest to take home to their loved ones, including large panettoni, jams and marmalades, scented candles, bags of biscuits and lovingly wrapped loaves.
Warmed with hot cocoa and perked by glasses of champagne, our guests talked long into the evening. It was a beautiful way to start the festive season, and we hope to share our Christmas menu with more of you soon.
