Knead For Speed
Our Knead for Speed run clubs are a chance to make new friends, get sweet rewards and discover a new morning ritual.
We’re always looking for ways to bring our communities together, and few things create connection quite like a shared run. The post-run high, familiar faces, and conversations over coffee and pastries are all part of the magic. We hope our bakeries can provide a space to unwind, refuel and celebrate together.
After an incredible summer of over 250 runs last year, we’re now coming to even more communities across the UK. Watch this space to find out about Knead for Speed events happening near you. Alternatively, you can set up your own run club by following the steps below.

How to Start a Run Club
1. Choose a name
From Runners & Stunners to the Friday Croissant Club, we’ve had some great ones among our community so far.
2. Set a regular time
Using your local GAIL’s bakery as a meeting point, pick a regular time for your group to meet each month.
3. Plan the route
Choose a safe, simple route. The length of each run is up to you, but aiming for 3–5 km is a great start.
4. Create a way to communicate
We recommend creating a WhatsApp group or Instagram page, where you can easily share run details, updates and reminders.
5. Invite people to join
Start by inviting friends, family and colleagues. To reach out to others in your community, try posting in local Facebook groups or promoting your club at your local bakery. Just ask any member of the team to help when you next come by.
6. Keep up the momentum
To keep your runners coming back each month, we’ll treat them to a Cinnamon Bun at the end every run. And if you tag GAIL’s on social, we’ll reshare your posts to help grow and celebrate your community even further.
